Senior Infraestructure Manager

The Senior Infrastructure Manager job is to manage a large growing engineering organization, across different infrastructure teams with different responsibilities; to build high-performance teams that deliver high quality technical solutions adding value within the earliest possible stage.


  • Set and fulfil the Infrastructure tribe hiring plan, including: staffing, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and engagement of top talent.
  • Manage, motivate, coach and mentor the current team and support their professional growth and career development.
  • Work along with engineering managers to increase team productivity making sure we have the right team to get the job done and help them to implement effective infrastructure processes.
  • Ensure that the company has the technical tools and infrastructure needed to meet operational needs at the current time and in the future.
  • Bring a strong perspective that inspires change and motivates Managers / Individual contributors (direct reports) to develop simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Advocate and advance modern infrastructure development and engineering best practices.
  • Meet with other Senior Engineering Managers (peers) to align engineering-wide priorities and develop a strong engineering culture.
  • To be a reference in our culture so that it can transmit to the team and be the basis for decision making.
  • Represent Tiendanube engineering team in industry events.


Academic background:

  • Having finished a degree in: computer science, software engineering, or similar degree.

Experience and skills required:

  • Several years of being an Infrastructure Manager or a Senior Infrastructure Manager or a VP Infrastructure role.
  • Experience in building high performing multi disciplinary teams: DevOps, SRE, DataOps, SecOps, etc.
  • Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring infrastructure teams or managers.
  • Highly organized: with many teams working on many projects in a fast-moving company, strong organizational skills—both for yourself and for the team—will be required.
  • You are able to weigh several (and often conflicting) constraints and make rapid decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Have the flexibility to work on different projects with different people and care deeply about generating results and impact.
  • You possess exceptional written / verbal communication skills and can clearly articulate desired outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ROI focus and critical eye.
  • Being a strong advocate of infrastructure best practices bringing a disciplined approach to continuous delivery and reducing technical debt.
  • Embrace feedback as a tool for personal and professional growth, both receiving it and giving it to others.
  • Deep knowledge of high traffic infrastructure best practices, tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.


  • Previous experience working with startups culture and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Fluent english and/or portuguese speaker.
