Regional Medical Science Liaison - Personalized Healthcare

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strong ability to critically analyze Breast & Lung cancer medical and scientific literature, data, clinical trial study designs and clinical outcomes of published studies and effectively communicate knowledge within and external to the organization.Develops scientific and clinical story / narrative for Breast & Lung diagnostic testing in the continuum of care.Tracks, monitors, and adjusts to market / customer trends and reports to management on findings.Delivers contemporary education to scientific and clinical stakeholders on all Roche tests (launched and premarket) within Breast & Lung cancer.Develops educational plans and strategies at a health system level and ensures alignment with commercial objectives.Ensures retention of and standardization of training throughout respective region and communicates to regional leadership and marketing findings and best practice.Acts as the clinical / scientific point of contact from Roche within their geographical stewardship and respective disease / product area(s).Coordinates continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for graduate physicians, pharmacists, and scientist.Attends appropriate U.S. and International Scientific congresses. Develops in-depth understanding of clinical practices and regulations, maintains understanding and insight into current lab and clinical practices and guidelines and investigates and reports internally on competitor technologies.Builds relationships and demonstrates the clinical outcome and benefits of company products to Regional Key Opinion Leaders.Upon investigator request, act as a liaison between potential researcher and MSA on the IIS submission process or requests for high medical value products to support independent clinical/preclinical research.Possess a sound knowledge base regarding laboratory analytical aspects and method validation studies, and be able to discuss these basic principles with clinical chemists and other laboratory personnel.

    Bachelor’s degreeMD requiredOncology and/or Pathology experience required (MANDATORY)Experience in Breast and/or Lung cancer preferred.Spanish & English language skills required, Portugues a plus5+ years previous related clinical/practice experienceAbility to develop and maintain collegial relationships with Physicians, Nurses and Laboratory ProfessionalsAbility to lead, direct, influence and empower multi-discipline teams and individualsAbility to successfully interface with senior management (within and external to company)Capacity to manage conflictExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize workStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong judgment and decision making skillsAbility to think strategicallyAbility to develop and maintain deep relationships with thought leaders and customersAbility to quantify metrics
