Tasks and responsibilities
Manage and execute daytoday operations of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) applications and platforms, ensuring stability, availability, and smooth performance.
Handle service requests and change management activities (testing, documentation, implementation, and communication) in collaboration with IT (Information Technology),business users, and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance MES processes, technical operations, support quality, and efficiency.
Ensure full GxP (Good x Practice / Good Practice) compliance, including validated systems, controlled access, documentation, training requirements, and audit readiness.
Coordinate application and infrastructure changes, maintaining configuration items (CIs) and performing periodic technical and compliance reviews.Monitor and analyze system performance, capacity, scalability, and security, ensuring CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) principles are met and proposing improvements when needed.
Guarantee proper technical operations, including Disaster Recovery (DR) tests, backup and restore validation, patching, and system upgrades.Provide endtoend audit support,
including preparation of evidence and onsite participation when formally requested.
Requirements
• At least 3 - 5 years of professional experience in the environment of production processes with a focus on IT systems or engineering
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Windows/Linux operating systems, Citrix) and database systems (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
• Strong team player with the ability to learn, as well as have a solution-oriented approach and prefer to work in an international and intercultural environment
• English language – Advanced or Fluent level
• Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments and their role in manufacturing, including data acquisition and control systems
Desirable
• Knowledge or first experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (especially Körber PAS-X3.2 or newer) is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of Docker or RedHat OpenShift / Kubernetes
• Experience with MBR design and lifecycle management within MES platforms, preferably inregulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with Docker-based deployments and Oracle database administration orintegration in manufacturing IT systems.
